The History
The first Costa Coffee Company found its home in 1971 in Lambeth, London. The company focused on slow roasted coffee beans and selling them to local coffee shops and caterers. Soon, the coffee was for sale retail and it became so popular that they opened a retail store on Vauxhall Bride Road in London. This company went from one small store in 1978 to more than 500 stores today located throughout the United Kingdom as well as Ireland. There are also hundreds of outlets located in banks, hotels, airports, bookstores, and more. There are many branches worldwide including in South Asia, India, China, Pakistan, Romania, Bahrain, Qatar, Egypt, Poland, Cyprus, Syria, Oman, Emirates, Bulgaria, Lebanon, and more.
There are only three master Italian Roasters in all of the United Kingdom and they are all three employed by Costa.
